Indiegogo instruments acquired!

Check out these violins, obtained through our Indiegogo campaign! They were acquired in New York City from the Fieldston School and transported to Nairobi by a touring group from the French School. Thank you so much to all involved for helping us with our first batch of instruments. We are still looking for more instruments (especially cellos and violas) and music stands, so please contact us if you would like to donate these items.

El Sistema Kenya would be nowhere without your support, and we are happy to announce that through our Indiegogo campaign in April/May 2014, we were able to obtain 15 violins and violas!  We are still looking for more instruments for our core orchestra of 50 students starting this September, but it is wonderful to have these instruments to start us off.  We are especially looking for cellos, double basses and travel cases at this time.  If you have a travel case you would be happy for us to borrow to transport these bigger instruments, we would also appreciate this as well.
